Windows Live Mail - importing messages from .pst file

Hello, I recently purchased a new computer which runs Windows 7.  My email program is Windows Live Mail.

My old computer had Windows XP, and I used Outlook as my email program.

I saved all my email messages from Outlook (old computer) into a ".pst" file on an external hard drive, before wiping my old computer's hard drive clean.

I need help transferring (or extracting) my messages from my .pst file, into Windows Live Mail (new computer).

So, to summarize:
1. old Outlook email messages stored in a .pst folder in an external hard drive
2. New computer runs Windows 7, and email program is Windows Live Mail
3. I want to transfer my old emails (stored in .pst file) into my new computer.

How can I accomplish this task?
Thanks in advance.

Answer
Answer
Only by downloading and installing the trial version of Office 2007, add the pst file to the mail profile, then importing in WLM.

BTW, if you used the "export" function in Outlook on your old machine then you may well have problems with the resultant pst file. Unless you were connecting to Exchange Server your Outlook data already WAS in a pst file.
