Windows 10 Anniversary Update error 0x800705b4

Hi, I have problem in updating my Windows 10 into Anniversary Update

My current version is Windows 10 Enterprise (which I activated from MSDN), everytime I try to update I got error code 0x800705b4. I've using Windows Update Diagnostic Tools but the problem persists. I can't use the Windows Update tool from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12387/windows-10-update-history?ocid=update_setting_client since it only serves Windows 10 Home and Pro

How can I solve this problem??

Next.
6. Click the Close button to finish troubleshooting or View detailed information to see more information about the results.

Please provide details of anything not fixed.

I have had this and it is normally caused be a problem with the software download folder.

So here is my fix and this has worked for me many times.

Reboot the PC
In Cortana or search type “Services” and load up Services.
In the list of services find the “Background Intelligent Transfer” service and select Stop.
Find the Windows Update service and click Stop
Use Windows Explorer and navigate to “c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution”
Delete all the content in the folder (highlight it all and select Delete)
Some files may not delete but the important ones are Download and DeliveryOptimization, if they won’t delete reboot and go back to step 3.
Reboot
Sign back in and go to Windows Update and it should download the update.
That was worked for me many times, so I hope it works for you!

It seems to me that these update errors occur quite frequently, and most seem to be cured by running the troubleshooter. Surely it is not beyond the wit of the people who deliver the upgrades to have the upgrade run the troubleshooter automatically as part of the upgrade process. If there are no problems, the upgrade proceeds normally, if there are problems then they are fixed and then the upgrade proceeds normally

After spending ages, this procedure I found worked great for me (Windows 10 Enterprise):
  1. Open Windows updates and click on “Advanced options”
  2. Clear the option to get updates for other Microsoft products when you update Windows
  3. Restart, then check for updates
  4. The update process should complete successfully now (note, you may have to run it more than once to get all the updates)
  5. As soon as you get the message “Your device is up to date”, go to the “Advanced options” again and re-select the option to get updates for other Microsoft products
  6. Check for updates again, you should now be able to download and install them

I began receiving Error 0x800705b4 on 11/9/16. I tried a lot of the recommended "fixes" for this but none worked, so I took a look at what updates that Windows Update reported that weren't installing. There were 4 and they all had the same error code. I decided to go to the Microsoft website and manually download and install these updates. Therein lay the problem. This was one of the updates that was returning the error code:

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3200970)

THAT UPDATE IS ABOUT 900 MEGABYTES AND IT WAS TOO DAMNED BIG TO INSTALL VIA WINDOWS UPDATE!!

I manually downloaded it which took about 35 minutes and then ran the install on it. After that the rest of the updates downloaded just fine. This was also stopping my Kaspersky Anti-Virus from updating automatically as well. I was updating that manually every day. Now it works fine too.

Hi.

Which Windows 10 version do you have? Could you include a link to the page from which I can download this update?

Did  the "regedit" solution: didn't help.

Did the  delete “c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution” solution: didn't help.

Did your clear updates for other Microsoft products solution: SUCCESS!!

Of course, it could be the combination of all three, but I'll be suggesting your remedy first when someone asks.
