Reinstall Windows 10 Apps

Trying to reinstall windows 10 apps.

Typed: Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"

at prompt in admin mode.

Press ENTER nd get message 'Get-AppXPackage' is not recognised as internal or external command, operable program or batch file'.

Can any body help.

The issue was original not being able to open Start Menu. A link suggested the above as one possible solution.

At this point, seeing that you already ran SFC and DISM on your PC without any issues, I would suggest performing a Reset instead. There may be some issues during the installation as the powershell command is failing as well. It's best to backup all your important files before Resetting, in case something happens.

To reset your PC :

1. On the login screen of your PC, hold down the SHIFT key, then press the power button on the lower right, and select "Restart".

2. Select "Troubleshoot"

3. Click on "Reset This PC"

4. You will have an option to keep  your files, you may choose that, or remove all your files completely.

There's a way so that your files won't be deleted when you move to a new profile.

If the Settings Window does not open, here's an alternative way of creating a profile.

 

Open Run, and type in netplwiz.

Click Add.

For now, choose the option of signing in without a Microsoft Account.
