The connection to the server was interrupted - (0x800CCC0F)

Hi,

This has just started for me this morning. Any help is much appreciated.

I am getting the following error message trying to send email from OUTLOOK 2019

It had been working fine up until now.

Task '********@**********.co.uk - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Here is the catch....I have 4 email accounts...1 (hotmail) that works fine (sending/receiving) , 3 (with another email provider)  will not send emails.

I have setup windows mail, configuring one of the accounts that is not working and tried to send email but this fails.

All three accounts are working fine from my smart phone with the same settings.

I have switched off my AV and firewall (COMODO) and tried to resend but still get the same (please do not reply if you are going to blame it on either of these).

I am sending to a single person whom I have sent emails to before. I have also tried sending to another email account just in case.

There is no event error appearing in the event log.

Thanks in advance

Hi Taggs

My name is Sarah Kong and I am an independent adviser that is here to try and help you with your issue.

The 3 other email providers are they the same provider?
Could be they are experiencing issues? Especially if it is an ISP provider.
Have you tried to send and receive using the browser instead of Outlook?
Does it work?

Hi,

Yes, they are the same provider for the three email address. The emails work fine from my smart phone so no problems with ISP provider.  I have also checked their website for outages but no problems.

I can logon fine and send emails from the browser.

Many thanks

Try removing the accounts from outlook and the adding them back in.
Also try using windows mail to see if it works.

Hi Sarah,

I have tried to remove and re-add the account but still get the same error.

As stated in original post, I have already tried to configure on Windows Mail with no look.

Thanks

sounds like your profile is corrupt.
Try creating a new local admin account and test if it happens in the new account.

OK, I think I may have solved this by myself.  I hope this helps someone in the future.

I have deleted my NIC from device manager and rebooted the computer.  Windows reinstalled NIC and now I can send emails without a problem.
