windows 7 not installing game - "kb893803-x86 is for a differnt hardware platform"

trying to install game 'call of duty 4" windows installer is not installing the game. mesg is "kb893803-x86 is for a differnt hardware platform. operating system is windows 7 & processor is i5 with 3 gb ram on the computer

Hi,

After I have researched your concern, I found that KB893803-v2-x86 is included in Windows Installer 3.1. Windows Installer 3.1 Redistributable supports Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 or later, Windows XP, Windows XP Service Pack 1, Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows Server 2003.

Step 1:

I would recommend that you could install Windows Installer 4.5 on Vista or Windows 7 and try it again.
