zune software

still can not download zune software. it says its checking for updates. and it continues to check for awhile, way over 5 hrs....Is xbox live, microsoft account, music pass, and zune all connected as one?

Alright, so Zune won't install fully, correct? We have several support articles listed here in our Zune: Top Issues page. 

The one I feel would help you out most would be the You can’t update or install the Zune software on your PC, or you can’t update the Zune player software. 

And to answer your question, mostly yes. The email you use for Xbox LIVE, which is called a Microsoft Account, is, or should be linked, to Xbox LIVE, Xbox Music Pass, and your Zune account.
