Random 10,000 microsoft points for no reason

Check billing.microsoft.com and it should show you if they were purchased or if it was something else. If you believe your account has been compromised, you would need to call support immediately for help.

Were you participating in the trivia thing over at rewards.xbox.com? It had a prize of 10,000 points, and ended yesterday.

Check https://billing.microsoft.com. From my end, it looks like they were purchased normally. Check your payment method to verify this. If you believe these purchases were in error, you can call phone support to discuss your options.

ok since this has been answered, i just feel the need to say i would not have complained about RECEIVING 10,000 FREE MS points...

If someone had charged them to your credit card without you knowing, then you'd probably complain.

DUDE! THis just happened to me. Exact same number of points too!

Bad side is I can't log in to my account anymore. It says I am not verified but I can get on the website. THis is darn strange...

Looks like you bought some points with your payment method on file. If this is incorrect, your you feel that your account is compromised, please contact phone support in your region.

Same thing happened to me, 10,000 points purchased (only 4000 went through though).  Called up Xbox and they're doing an investigation but I still have to go talk to the bank about getting my money back.  Change your password so it doesn't happen again and let your bank know about it, then call support.  I think this is all you can do about it.

Same here. 10000 points purchased, and I wasn't the one that did it.

Currently in process of disputing it with the bank, since CS got me nowhere fast.

Same thing just happened to me today, I got 10000 charged to my account. Not very happy about it.
