Multiplayer settings

Hi parents!!!

We are new to ebox live, as of yesterday. My son just wants to play Mindcraft on ebox. He just bought the 1600 point card to get the full version of the game. Now he's been trying to play multiplayer with his brother all night and it won't work. I did set-up parental controls so he only plays with "Friends" that I know. Has the parental controls that I set-up caused him not to be able to play multiplayer! Does my other son have to have an Avatar. Do we need the "Family Pack" in order to play multiplayer? Please help, he is really upset!!! He used his own $$, now you to $40.00 to be able to play Mindcraft on ebox!!!

Thanks for your feedback.

Both parties have to have gold to play mutliplayer.

You say you set up the account to have "friends only".  Just to make sure, you did send a friend request and accept it from his brother I hope.  You have to send a friend request to the person, but then you also have to accept it.

If you are on the friend list, and you do have gold for both, then you should be able to play.  If you are having a problem, then it must be some connection problem or in the game of Minecraft.  Make sure you are connected to Xbox LIVE as well.

These are just simple solutions, but you have to be more specific with the problem to get into details of why it is not working.  Hope that helped some though.
