I'm glad I came back to this game.

I bought this game the day it came out, and played it for about a couple months before turning it in for Black Ops. I didn't really enjoy it a whole lot at first because I was one of the "COD" fanboys and was addicted to that type of shooter. But I will admit, I was wrong to judge this game so early. This is by far one of the best multiplayer games I have ever played, a true game that requires teamwork and communication to achieve victory. Needless to say I repurchased this game a couple weeks ago. I am no longer in the COD fever and is extremely excited for Battlefield 3! I feel there are many people like me out there who have stepped away from COD to this game.

I like this game, it's not perfect, but it's a good time. Especially when you play with friends. Have you tried BF1943 in the XBLA?

[/quote]Yeah bro, no game is perfect but this one is close to it. I have tried 1943 on live, it was alright but not as fun as BC2.

I enjoy BF1943 more than BC2... something about the '3' flag capture points that really dulls down the MP maps in BC2.. if I'm playing maps with 4 cap points it's tons more fun..

Its mostly because 1943 has wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better map design and that true conquest feel.

Not to mention planes. Even if youre not a fan at flying them its still fun to see dogfighting going on above your head as youre fighting a ground war with the addition of ships crashing the shores

I enjoyed BF1943 after taking a break from it for a little time. I also got bored a week or two ago and popped in Battlefield 2 Modern Combat. I say I really enjoyed that game. And was surprised that a good amount of people still play rank matches on that game. It took a little to get use to the controls but it plays just as good as BFBC2. It is not as graphically pleasing and BFBC2, but the game-play was just as good. Plus, the maps were very good. And even though most won't agree with this, I also have been enjoying playing Medal of Honor.

Snake: did anyone drop the server on you when you were playing? I've gone back to bf2mc now and then.. things I realize:

*omg,  I miss the ability to sprint in that game

*maps were tons of fun

*NO ONE lets you heal them

*the controls were horibad

*still one of my fav shooters of ALL TIME

I was never dropped from the servers, but a lot of people would leave and re-join like they got dropped. Yeah, I missed being able to sprint. But I forgot how fun that SEAL like dune buggy was to drive. I think I was only able to play that one map with the bridge across the whole map and what looked like Wake Island. When I played no one was close enough to me to try and heal. Plus, I loved the Spec Ops class. So, I would not of been able to heal them. The only thing that bother me was the "change stance" was linked to the left trigger. I tried to aim down the sights and found myself laying on the ground.

for me it's been ever since hearing about Battlefield 1942 for the PC back in 2002, then trying it out, i really liked the fact that you could use any vehicle. I stared playing FPS with Doom 2 and Quake 1 & 2, I really liked Quake 2 a lot especially 'Loki's Minions Capture the Flag' (it might be the first CTF game for a FPS). Battlefield to me expanded that multiplayer FPS game to were most FPS fans expected it to go. Also remember the first Battlefield is the original FPS wargame it was released 1 year before the first COD. If you want to get technical 'Wolfenstein' was the really first FPS war game shooter.
