ERROR CODE: 80169D3A

It's impossible for me to redeem codes on my Xbox 360 & my Xbox one and since I got the Xbox one I never had this problem. I type in the 25 pass code for Xbox Gold and I get a error screen saying "An error occurred while completing this operation    Give it another try. If this happens again, let us know by entering the code below at xbox.com/errorhelp so we can investigate." and then the error code & time of issue but I entered the code and got another error message saying I found a glitch in the system. I'm a little bit upset cause I'm not sure how can this be fixed and can I have anything in return for having a faulty Xbox? Also I was thinking of sending you the picture of the error message it gave me but there is no attachment option so please help!!!

Its a bit confusing what your going through and your title.  Your title shows from support.xbox.com:

Problem

You may see the following error code and message when you try to use Xbox Live:

Can’t retrieve information from Xbox Live.

Status code: 80169d3a

This may mean that your Xbox Live account is locked for one of the following reasons:

   Suspicious or fraudulent behavior

   Incorrect or incomplete billing information

Verses entering your redeem code.  I would suggest trying to redeem your code with the new Xbox One command with your Xbox One and see if that works (I've used 3 so far that way, without problems).  Hope it works out for you
