Being a game specific issue, MS can't do anything about it. You would have to try contacting the developers.

Anytime something weird is going on, the best thing to do is just dashboard out of the game before anything bad happens.

COD 4 is a hack fest. I exchanged it at Best Buy for $25.00

i've got the same problem. i'm a regular player, legit console and game, never tried to hack games, because a like challenges. those cheaters have their rights to do so, but it should be done among them. wanna cheat? cheat. but with cheaters, not real players.

after doing read a bunch of stuff about it on the internet, i've contacted Activision and ask them to solve the problem. the answer was "I'm very sorry for the frustration you are having with not being able to play online in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The situation you describe sounds like your stats have been effected by a hacker in some way. We are currently aware of this issue and are looking into it. In the meantime, you can still accept invites to games from your friends. I apologize for the inconvenience."

since that inconvenience started to happen more than a year ago [according to the complains i could find] and they STILL can't do nothing, i'm starting to believe that  there's no legit solution except creating another profile. in the other hand, you can join a modded level that will increase your XP and rank way much faster.

i'll leave one question for you guys: if the hackers can do stuff like that, why the guy who coded and actually MADE the game cannot fix it?

they cant do anything about it unless you know his gamertag u can use the file complain system

okay well get this so everyone who is hacking on YOUR NETWORK!! is violating the microsoft user agreement. let me give you a hint anyone with " {I} " is hacking because the special bracket symbols are part of their infection mod bullshit. what bugs me the most is i just got an xbox a couple weeks ago and my roomate has been a member for 5 dedicated years and i think is bullshit that you guys do absolutely nothing. i mean all that money i dump into xbox you guys arent going to stop hackers. why dont you just reset all their accounts and dont tell me its up to infinityward you guys can tell them to do it and it would be a done deal. RIGHT NOW IM SERVERLY DISSAPOINTED WITH YOUR SERVICE!!!
