Best order to play through DLC? Thanks

Hello, I'm fully aware that there are some similar posts about DLCs and their order, but I think mine might be a bit different, so please help if you can

Ok so my buddy and I have all the DLC (except Moxxi's UR) and we are lvl 28, first playthrough with still much time before the end. The first time we played zombie island was at the beginning of our 2nd playthrough, and by the time we got out, we were such high levels that the core game was far too easy, and we lost interest.

What is the best advice to be able to have an interesting 2nd playthrough but still get to play all the dlc's? Should we play a couple of them before we finish PT1, since the game levels to you when you start PT2? or can we play them sometime in PT2 and still have a fun core experience?? any advice and order tips would be greatly appreciated!

Because I got the game when it came out and the DLC as they were released too, I'd always suggest playing the main game with two playthroughs and then the DLC...then either Zombie Is. or Gen. Knoxx, then the other.  Moxxie...only when you have hours to play and at least 3 players for the first three and 4 in the last three.

so you're saying play both playthroughs and then do the DLCs? Because I only want to play Knoxx and claptrap revolution on the 2nd PT....I was thinking about re-playing the zombie island DLC on our first playthrough, and then finishing the game..then moving on to 2nd PT. So will doing gen. knoxx and claptrap right before i beat the 2nd PT be fine (around lvls 50-60? or should we complete those 2 after?

and thanks for the response

Why would you want to start playthrough 2 of Armory before finishing the vanilla game?

Personally I have Armory and Underdome. When I play from level 1 I beat playthrough 1 vanilla game followed by playthrough 1 armory. Then move to playthrough 2 vanilla (alright you'll be at around level 44-47 and not the 34 if skipping armory). But soon you'll come and even out with the enemies. Then after playthrough 2 of vanilla game move to playthrough 2 of armory. If you want skip some of the side quests, but then you'll be under level and will be more difficult.

Don't have clap trap revolution can't comment on that.

@War...Clap Trap Revo isn't as good as Gen. Knoxx or Zombie Is. but it's tons better than Moxxie, to me anyway.

this needs to be in a FAQ

the truth is any order you want but only after you've started the main game and you get the fast travel, then you can go and do any of the DLCS if your character your playing with can survive.

I will rate the DLCS ... Knoxx the best value takes the most time to finish
Claptrap - it's OK takes the next amount of time to finish
Zombie - it's good but you can do the full game main quests in under an hour.
Moxxi - if you need a place to store extra weapons then yes do her.

there you go.

the best for you...
finish your main game playthrough 1... then do Zombie on PT1 it's quick easy and get that extra Backpack)... then I would do the Claptrap on PT1 and get that extra Backpack, now go do Knoxx on PT1 or start your Playthrough 2 on the main game, finish that and do the same order again getting those extra backpack SDUs from Zombie and Claptrap on your Playthrough 2 ... then go do your Knoxx playthrough 2 last because in Knoxx your going to be getting a lot more weapons and the extra Backpack will help and even more for you since you don't have the Moxxi Bank.
