Xbox Connectivity Problems I haven't seen anywhere else...

All right, here's the deal.  I don't try to get on these forums and pretend to be a whiz kid when it comes to technology and I realize there are a lot of connectivity problems with some people since the new update.  I have looked for some sort of similar problems to mine here and other places on the internet and I just can't find anything as specific as to my issue.

Here is what's wrong.  I have two xboxs in my house.  One is for me and one is for my brother.  I have no trouble connecting my xbox to the internet, but when my brother signs on to live on his account/xbox it kicks me offline on mine.  This also works the other way around (i.e. if he is playing on live and then I sign into live on my xbox, he gets kicked off).  I have never had this issue before in about 3 years of having two xboxs/accounts.  I assume this is due to the new update that has just come out.

If anyone knows the problem, please let me know.  Also, yes, I have tried resetting my router and all that other bs they tell you to do.  I thought maybe it would only last maybe a day, but now its been almost a week with the same problems.  I can list my model numbers and such if you need that info.  Thanks in advance.

A solution for this issue may be to override your router's DHCP settings to provide permanent IP addresses to either console.  You will need to identify the MAC address for each individual console, and manually assign the IP address that way.  Once this is done, you will then need to set your console to manual IP configuration, and input the IP address you assigned each console.
