I'm not sure what your asking.

And even so, why is this something you need to know?

The Xbox 360 S internal hard drive uses a proprietary connection for data and power. Installation is quite quick and easy. Instructions shown here; support.xbox.com/.../add-remove-hard-drive

Just a heads up that if you're thinking of installing your own HDD as opposed to an official Xbox 360 HDD, this can be construed as tampering with the hardware and may lead to a console ban.  The same applies to using an original model HDD with a Slim console or an S model HDD with an older console.

You'll want to use an official Xbox 360 HDD or use flashdrives to boost storage space.

Which reminds me, I gotta get around to opening up my bricked Xbox. Tinker around see how it is inside.

I'm not. I have a dead xbox, past warranty, and I'm curious to look inside. If I void the warranty anymore it isn't a concern. I don't think speaking of opening an Xbox is against the ToU, the most I plan to do is disassemble it as best I can. I can encourage everyone not to follow suit.

Don't do it.

Opening up your console is a violation of TOU, and any discussions of the matter are not permitted on these forums.

Really? For a bricked xbox? So this means opening the DVD drive to install a game is against the TOU also? I guess i'm stuck playing Max Payne forever then.
