Will console banned HDD also console ban my new console?

I was console banned (please dont get into it, just focus on the actual question and try to help me out) on my xbox. I just bought a new xbox but before i plug in my HDD i want to make sure that i wont get console banned on that xbox too. I have no modded content on HDD. I do however have a phised account that was already returned to the owner. So will this 60G HDD ban my new xbox because it has a hacked account on it? or can i just plug it in no worries. Or i can delete it off of the HDD while logged out and then log in. So please answer if you know the answer, please dont speculate or guess i just want a fast correct answer, thanks...

I tend not to help people who abuse XBL and its community. In fact people like you are the problem. You don't deserve to be on XBL. If the phished account was returned to the owner then why is it still on your hdd?

Attach the hdd and simply just delete the account you stole. Then take a few minutes to actually sit down and read the XBL Terms of Service and Code of Conduct so you know what you can and can not do while using XBL.

Hardware is hardware, since XBox Live doesn't track external hard drives but only consoles themselves, it should be fine. Just format the HDD and you should be in good shape.

My post was very much on topic. I just happened to add my opinion into the mix. You may not like it but I don't like modders/cheaters ruining my experience on XBL or that of all the other legit players.

I was not console banned for cheating or modding, i was banned for recovering an account that i thought was someones old account that they wanted to give out for free, but turned out it was jacked, i dont like modders/cheaters either because they are the reason that the enforcement team has no contact email or number, and i cant show them the evidence of my innocence, and back on topic i guess i will just delete the account off of the HDD before i log onto live

This handy link tells you everything you need to know about console bans www.xbox.com/.../consoleban

Also you should know that the trading of accounts, even if they are freely given, is against Microsoft's rules.

you should be able to move your HDD to your new console without getting banned, MS banned your console itself not the hard drive. You might have to uncorrupt your profile/gamesaves if you played on ur banned console since being banned.

Account theft is just as bad as modding/cheating. In those digital contracts that you so readily agreed to when creating your account tell you what is and is not allowed while using their service, XBL. One stipulation is:

  • Don’t lend, transfer, sell, or otherwise provide access to your account to any individual.source

also:

5.  Your Service account, associated accounts and accounts from third parties.

Only you may use your Service account.  You must keep your accounts and passwords confidential and not authorize any third party to access or use the Service on your behalf unless we provide an approved mechanism for that.source

Common sense also should have kicked in when you had to use someone elses e-mail and password to access the account. In the end, you aren't innocent.
