weak wireless peripherals connections

Hi,

So here is my problem. I've notice recently that it takes a bit of effort to get the wireless controller to turn on or hook up with the xbox once its powered up.  It'll act like its not paired up and then after a few more guide button presses it'll connect.  I didn't think much of it then. Then I fired up Rock Band 3 and noticed that the Lips mics were very scratchy and sounded bad, like a bad connection, even after I replaced batteries and re-synced it (replaced batteries in the controller too) . After I plugged in a wired mic all was fine.

My only conclusion is that the wireless connection of the peripherals is poor.  I have an unobstructed 5 feet of distant between me and the console.

Any thoughts?

this is strong radio waves noise. use something wired=)

Try unplugging any microwaves, wireless home phones, wireless routers. See if you still have a problem.

If you still have a problem then I would suggest trying your controller and Lips mic with another xbox 360 if possible.

If you still have problems connecting with a different xbox 360, then your peripherals are likely the problem and may need replacing.

If the peripherals work fine with another console, then bad news, your console is likely the problem and may need to be repaired. Contact Xbox Support via one of the options on this page: support.xbox.com/.../contact-us.aspx
