I am randomly disconnecting from Xbox Live and lagging out of party chat and I can not find a way to stop it. I have tried boosting my wireless signal via a wireless repeater and now I have 4 bars, but I am still disconnecting. All of this started with the latest Xbox Live update that I downloaded a few weeks ago. Does anybody know how I can fix this?

You have to give more info on what's happening to determine the problem. when does it happen, how long when you turn on your xbox does it turn off? ... etc
But check this page out since you use wireless connection.

It happens all the time no matter what I am doing. When I try to reconnect it takes about 20 seconds before I can reconnect.

Hello MIRACLExGrenade,
I've got a few things that I would like you to try.
1.
Clear your console's cache.
2. Restart the console.
3.
Download your Xbox LIVE profile to your console.
4. See if you are still getting disconnected.

That's correct - clearing your cache is a safe troubleshooting step to try. It won't remove save data or any of your important information.
