I Can't Play Old Xbox Game(s)/Demo(s) As They Are No Longer Supported By The System.

I recently decided that I was feeling a bit nostalgic and wanted to play a few original Xbox demos to spice up my boring time. I pop in a disc I thought I might find fun only to get a message saying that i couldn't play it because it isn't supported on the 360 console anymore. Thanks to the lousy updates sent out, I can only play 360 games on it.

I think you went bit overboard with the 'forum tags'

Anyway, no you can't play original Xbox demos.  That has not one thing to do with the last system update, and everything to do with the fact the Xbox Live support for the original Xbox was discontinued about a full year ago.

The 360 has totally different hardware to the original Xbox, for the 360 to play original software it has to emulate it.  The emulator needs additional software to tell it how to play these games, no updates, no play.  Game demos for the original Xbox have never worked on the Xbox 360.
