Home Gold

I have 4 account s in my xbox one but only mine has gold.the rest are silver

I cant find where to buy/upgrade my account so they can play online.  If I can upgrade it will there be any restrictions for them or me ? Also can they use the gold on xbox 360 or just xbox one ?

Also how much does it cost ?

1.  You can add other members to your Family on the console to share the gold membership.  Go to Settings and scroll right to Add to Family then follow the instructions.

2.  There are child restrictions to younger accounts.  The parent can adjust them as needed

3.  The shared Gold on the X1 cannot be shared on the 360.  Each tag would need their own Gold membership for that account.

4.  The cost of Gold memberships vary by retailer but are usually priced between $40 - $60.

Grady,

The gold membership is linked to the profile not the consoles. So if he buys a Gold subscription he can use it on both consoles and can even be logged into both consoles at the same time.

The gold home on xbox one is good for the xbox one, the fact I have got both consoles and 3 kids under ten that prefer playing on the 360 makes it not so good, for them to go online with their friends and family would mean buying 3 more memberships just for the 360 even though we have upgraded to the xbox one and they can all play online on that,  I think that it needs to be altered, I know I'm in the same position as everyone without an xbox one who has to do this... But the fact we have home gold should mean any xbox consoles with profiles that are registered as being in the family that are on the same network with the same IP address (at home) should share the home gold benefits as xbox one profiles, I upgraded as I love xbox products, I prefer everything about xbox over playstation, so to have to pay out even more for my old console seems illogical, especially with gold costing £40 each x3 = £120 on top of my own membership, I'd rather spend that money on my xbox one...

@Davey G 2007, not sure where you are buying your gold from but the internet is full of places you can get 12mnths +1mnth (total 13 months) for £26, do get me wrong I totally agree with what you are saying as I also have the Xbox One and 2 Xbox 360s so I will also have to buy Home Gold + 2 gold subs for my boys to use on their 360's.

Come on Microsoft you need to look into this and put another nail in Sony's Coffin.

Yea  I've looked into it and  saw that there are  a few cheaper options, but still I feel like we're being done oveer, when in real life would you upgrade and then pay out for a membership on the previous console? This defies logic and there is no direct way to contact (complain to) Microsoft either, everything you do redirects you to chat with an advisor who advises you to post on a forum... Do these forums get monitored by Microsoft?
