Exploiting a Glitch - Can you get banned?

If a game has a glitch and you exploited it can you get banned from xbox enforcement team?

I wasn't sure you see, but if the game has a glitch then it's the developers error, if the player get's banned then so should the developers. Left for dead 1 n 2 are briming with them, no one has got banned from that.

So whats the difference between a glitch and a cheat? when i say cheat im talking about a button/joypad cheat.

Surely it depends on the severity of the glitch? Say in L4D2 for example, if you glitched a weapon into spawning twice or something. Would you get banned for that?

Well seen as though you have been on the forums long enough (on previous version), i would expect you to know where to go to report a glitch/ bug. (Developers forums)

 

If the glitch/ bug gains you an advantage (under the map ..etc) then you should be suspended.

 

Controllers, well it's upto the developers to put a fire rate on the weapons.

Technically they could ban you for duplicating a weapon but I suspect that if it is not breaking the flow of the gameplay or spoiling the game for the other players they'd not bother.

I'd say if you're getting a big benefit from the glitch. I.E. leaderboard places etc or extra EXP or something then they may well ban you for it. For something silly like duplicating weapons in Left 4 Dead or climbing out of maps on Halo in co op play I doub't they'd do much to you.

From what I've seen in the Support Forums, people don't tend to get banned for using cheats/exploits on single player games. They only get banned when using cheats/exploits on online games as it ruins other people's experience.
