Error 3524-397F-2800-0F00-C000-0034

I have been looking literally EVERYWHERE for a solution to this and cannot seem to figure it out.

I just got an xbox from a friend and when I tried to update it from the game Anarchy Reigns, I got the status error mentioned above. Now it's stuck there no matter what I do. The error code is not on xbox.com and when I tried manually updating from both a jump drive AND CD using the method recommended by a similar error on xbox support, it acts like it doesn't even know the disc or jumpdrive is there.

Can ANYONE help?

I appologize. It's not an "Error code" but rather a "Status code"

An internet search indicates that  "Solution 5: Update via a USB Flash Drive or CD-R" in that thread may be your best choice.

HI I have received an error code 397F - 3F4A - 2800 - 0F00 - C000 - 0034 and have been trying to update the system using a usb drive as well as a CD-R with the update and it still will not work :( Did you ever get this to fixed?
