this is just plain stupid, there are a lot of us complaining to MS that our consoles have not been opened and we are being accused of modding. I have searched tons of threads since this new update and there are lots of people on each one who has received the E 66 code with no provocation. I bought my 360 used from a freind who coul'nt tell a IDE cable from a salt shaker a little over a year ago, so theres no way in hail he did anything to it. I have played it for almost a year on XBOX live now, faithfully trusting microsoft and paying them for LIVE to protect me from modders, and suddenly im a hacker? they cant even tell me whats wrong with it, whats supposedly been done. I even offered to send it in to prove to them it has not been opened, and you know what they say? "we cannot take it, it has been modded" they won't take it because if they did and saw the clips or latches or whatever they use to tell it has'nt been opened are untouched, they would have to admit their new update was not perfect, and they would have to do "work" to get our consoles online again or get us working ones. it's much easier for them to just point the finger and call us liars and tell us to buy new consoles. more money for them. I'd take XBOX LIVE being offline for a few weeks anyday over being called a LIAR an told to go buy a new console. in the meantime, has anyone found the fix for this? its obivously got to be something thats gettting read incorrectly in the update, anyone thats been incorrectly banned got through yet? no one get on here talking about firmware mumbo jumbo, its never been opened, and i wouldn'nt have a clue where to start.
E 66 on new update, not modded!
