Black lines on new slim xbox 360.

Recently I get these black lines on the screen whenever the screen is black/blank. When gameplay or colour is on the screen you can't really see the lines and they just happened recently.

I'm using the new xbox 360 slim 250gb and a hdmi cable. I checked the cable and it's all fitted perfectly in. I was playing Assassins creed brotherhood and then suddenly the black lines appeared halfway through. Whenever the screen is loading and it's a black screen I can see the lines.

Does anyone know what's wrong? I just bought this xbox 360 1 month ago.

Oh and there are no black or white dots. Everything else is running fine, I can hear sound and see everything clearly. I just get these black lines in the background when the screen is blank/black.

Hello, a few questions: Have you tried to use another HDMI cable to see if that could be the culprit in this matter as well as tried to play on a different TV to make sure that can't be the issue either. These are just some things you should try before sending in your XBOX 360 for repair. My best guess is that it's actually the HDMI cable that your using that's causing this intermittent problem to happen. Try those two things out if possible and get back to us, if none of those two suggestions work I suggest contacting XBOX Support for your region to schedule a repair or going to http://myservice.xbox.com and setting one up yourself.
