original title: How can I fix error code Ox80072EE2?

Getting error Ox80072EE2. Chose express download then Windows Update checked for latest updates, but update did not proceed and gave error code Ox80072EE2. Tried several times. I have Windows XP Service Pack 3. Downloaded FixIt but didn't fix it. Last successful update was 12/14/11. How do I fix that error code? Thanks a bunch for any help!

If you receive Windows Update error 80072ee2 while checking for updates, you might need to add the website addresses from which Windows Update downloads updates to your firewall exceptions or "allow" list.
