Hi playdave2003,
When exactly do you get this error message? Is it as soon as you login to your computer or is it during the installation/execution of a program on your computer or is it while installing Windows Updates?
Error code: 1935 - An error occurred during the installation of assembly '[6]'. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: [3]. {{assembly interface: [4], function: [5], component: [2]}}
If you’re getting this error message while installing a program, then I would suggest you to remove the existing installation using Windows Installer Cleanup Utility tool and then try re-installing it.
Download Link: Windows Installer Cleanup Utility

Once you remove all the traces of the existing installation of a program, try re-registering the following dll file.
1. Click on Start; then click on All Programs.
2. Click on Accessories. Right click on Command Prompt and run as administrator.
3. Execute the following command.
MSIEXEC /UNREGISTER
MSIEXEC /REGSERVER
Once you run this, try installing your program again. If you still face the same issue, then upgrade your Windows Installer package to the latest version.
Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=5a58b56f-60b6-4412-95b9-54d056d6f9f4&displaylang=en
Now try installing the program and it should work.
If you are receiving the error code 1935 during the installation of works, student, or Encarta then try the link given below.
You receive an "Error 1935" error message when you try to install Works, Student, or Encarta

Hope this information is helpful.
