How to open .clp files in Windows 8

I have some old .clp files that I have transferred to my Win 8 upgrade and am no longer able to open them. STORE suggest I buy Coral programme which is not cheap. There must be some other way to open this legacy file type or does it only become available with Windows Office, if at all?

Addendum: Office 2010 does not provide support the opening of .clp.

IrfanView can open them.
