Administrative Events

My (Windows 7) laptop has logged almost 3700 "Administrative Events" in less than 9 months, is this something I should be worried about ?  I've been advised by an Online PC Help company that this could be slowing down my laptop performance and they are willing to clear the log on my behalf if I sign up with them.

Thanks in anticipation for any advice.

Hi Learner

The Event Viewer is used to troubleshoot problems you may be having on the computer.

The Administrative Events are a compilation of all the other components in the Event Viewer.

If you are not experiencing other issues with Windows, you can safely ignore the reported events.

What information appears in event logs (Event Viewer)?
