explorer.exe Error. "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action"

I just installed the followig updates to my laptop and now Im getting an error when I try to open any folder in the explorer window. If I right click and then selct open it works but I can not explore it directly by clicking in the folder because I get the error message. I have restoring my laptop to a point before the updates were done and it works again but then the updates are again installed and I have the same problem. It is not a profile problem because I have already created a new account and have the same problem.

The updates are the following

Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - January 2011 (KB890830)

Security Update for Windows 7 (KB2419640)

Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Junk Email Filter (KB2483110)

Update for Windows 7 (KB2454826)

Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (KB2412171)

Thanks in advance for your help
