Store download size keeps on increasing

Whenever I try to download apps/games the download size keeps on increasing and it takes forever to download. I tried wsreset.exe and rebooting the pc and also tried re-downloading the app and also the windows app troubleshooter

Here is image of downloading Asphalt 8 which is only of 2.7GB and now the download has reached 3.45GB and the download size has increase to 4.45GB and it also took me about 30 hrs to download  even I have very good internet connection speed

Hi Tony,

The issue your facing with the download size that keeps on increasing in Windows Store could be caused by several reasons. This could be related to a corrupted system file or the application data. For us to resolve your concern, kindly answer the question below:

  • We would like to confirm if the same issue occurs only on a specific application being downloaded or is it happening on any that you have attempted to download?
  • Were there any recent changes made on you computer aside from the troubleshooting you have completed?
  • Were there any updates recently installed on your computer?

We look forward to your response to our queries.

This happens for only big sized applications like over 1GB,but sometimes it does occurred when I'm trying to download other application too.

No there weren't any recent changes made to my PC except this command which I tried to resolve my store problem (found on internet)-Copy the following PowerShell command and paste it into the CMD window:  PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}" though it didn't helped me

Yes I have installed updates recently to my PC those were Windows 10 cumulative updates but I think they were kind of important one cause it was showing exclamation mark on windows update picture

Sorry but I don't have that exclamation mark one but it was just where you now see the green tick mark, after downloading the updates the exclamation mark was gone.

Thanks.
