Windows 10 update error: 0x8024401c error

Problem resolved by unchecking iPv6 in network connections, Took me 5 months and I don't know how many people to finally put this to rest and get updates. Halleluja.

Sumit, Finally got a solution after searching for 5 months, untold number of testing.

All I needed to do was to uncheck iPv6 in network connections and just go with iPv4 and the updates came flowing in.

Works like a charm now.

There must be a problem with handshakes through Telus Optik network to Windows Update servers on iPv6,

I presume my pc keeps trying to request in iPv6 and because of no handshake I get the 0X8024401c error, which is

a timeout error.

In my good old data modem days it happened when the receiving modem did not send a 2000-2400 Hz tone

back to the originating modem.

That shouldn't be a problem, even I have the selective startup loaded.

Did you had updates before using Windows 10?
