Windows 10 Family Safety Screen Time Limits Not Working

All of a sudden screen time limits stopped working.  My son had been on the computer for hours and it showed him having been on for 14 minutes.

In addition, I could logon after the time he was supposed to stop using the computer.

Tried deleting files in c:\programdata\microsoft\windows\parentalcontrols and rebooted.  Did not fix the issue.

Tried deleting and re-adding my son's account on account.microsoft.com/family.  Did not help.

This is a fabulous feature.  Please help me make it work again!!!

Family safety is not available on Windows 10 in the control panel.  That's Windows 8.

It's an HP 15 Notebook.

I don't think adding a new user is a solution.  We have only had the laptop for 5 days.  Adding new users every 5 days is not practical.

Did you seriously just link the Windows 8 procedure for Windows 10? Have you actually used Windows 10 before?

Does Microsoft realize how broken the family controls are for Windows 10? How about if actual engineers look at the problems and figure this out?

This is so incredibly frustrating.

I'm dealing with this issue as well.  I have a 16 year old who will play on the computer for 8 hours straight if I would let him.  The family settings worked for about 3 days, now none of the settings are being honored.  The time doesn't even show properly.  I set it for 2 hours, and he was on one day for 4 hours.  Family safety showed no hours logged at all.  What is going on here?

We have the  same issue.  If this is not resolved soon, we will have to go back to Norton's parental controls.

I have the same problem. I have set the screen time up so he can use his laptop between 8:00AM and 9:00PM everyday and only given 1 hour per day. His activity shows that he has been on for more than 3 hours per day.

Please advise!
