Unable to uninstall Click2run using MS fixit

When you try to uninstall Office click2run 2010 using kb290301 (MS fixit), you get an error stating problem with client virtualisation.

Solution:

Start> Run> Services.msc> Client virtualisation> properties> startup type> Disable\manual> Stop the service> Ok

Now try restarting system and then try using FIXIT from kb290301

As of now i was not able to find any articles or threads.

After researching for 8 hours I finally found this article: (must do this first) http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/officeversion_other-office_install/unable-to-uninstall-click2run-using-ms-fixit/a51729cd-9b41-41eb-b035-90c35ec87037. Restart your computer and then download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301#Method2. After the download restart the computer and run the Cleanup Utility.  Worked like a charm.  Post this to your website.
