Tenant to Tenant Onedrive and sharepoint Migration

Hi All,


I need to migrate all user sharepoint and onedrive data in one tenant to another new tenant were the users are already set up and use its mailbox. This is for around 50 users


Do you have any ideas on tools I can use?

Hi Maltes,

Here are some ways you may consider to use:

  1. Use Save the library as template or Save the site as template feature to migrate the whole library’s data or site’s data. Note: the personal site and OneDrive for Business library cannot be saved as template.
  2. Use OneDrive for Business sync app to sync contents from one tenant’s cloud (OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online sites) to desktop local, then sync them to another tenant’s cloud.
  3. Use Open with explorer command to manually bulk migrate data. Note: This command only works in IE browser.

If the above methods cannot meet your requirement and you are desired to use a third party tool, I recommend you monitor the thread. Hopefully other community members who have the similar experience can share their thoughts.
