Just installed build 9926 of the windows 10 TP on my Yoga 2 Pro laptop. Now, the Windows Driver Foundation service is constantly using about 30% CPU. This was not happening with the previous build. I have left the computer running for a couple hours
to see if there were any cleanup processes running, but the service is still hogging CPU.
I played around with the computer for some time and seem to have solved the problem. I noticed that my WIFI completely died each time after bringing the laptop out of sleep and the keyboard stopped responding. Re-installing the WIFI driver and uninstalling the
Lenovo Transitions software (figured it might be competing with Continuum), fixed those problems. The UMDF using 30% cpu may not be excessive, but it would a considerable drain on the battery. After the above changes and a couple reboots, the UMDF stopped
running constantly. Not sure which change was directly responsible for shutting down the UMDF, but now things seem to be running properly.
