You can't start a conversation with the body?

it give me the option to talk to the corpse but everytime i talk to her she just keeps saying " ugh wearing mortal flesh is so distastful, you've caught my attention mortal, that is unwise" over and over. i've tried killing all her cultists and bringing different victims but nothing has worked so far. it's driving me crazy lol

   Sometimes after killing the follower on the pillar, Boethiah's conduit will not start the dialogue with the player, making the quest impossible to continue. To fix this, just kill all of her worshippers. Then she will leave your companions body and go to the last worshipper you killed. Then you can actually talk to Boethiah's reincarnation and continue the quest as usual.(Xbox360/PC/PS3 confirmed)

   If you cleared out Knifepoint before you get this quest, it is possible to have the quest not move past the stage where it is telling you to kill everyone. If this happens, you may be able to move the quest along by putting on the Ebony Mail you get from killing the leader, but this does not always work.

   If you open your journal while Boethiah is in possession of one of your companions, or one of her followers, it is possible for the visual effect to never end. Reloading an earlier saved game will fix this.

Yeah, that's the beginning of her speech, then your expected to kill the worshippers at the site, then she's happy with you.

This was the only quest I didn't do. It seemed like too much work. I got 2 items on a different quest so I could get the achievement and not have to do this quest. Good luck.

I got this quest today but not sure where I can get a follower. Can I use Lydia to complete this quest? Tried going up to all of the cult people there and that didn't work.

Yes, you can use Lydia but I would keep a Save File prior to that. You might not like what you do with her. I used a Mercenary, paid them, did the "dirty job", got the reward. I felt bad about it a little until I saw what I got and I'm still using it.

But no, the NPC's already there won't work to initiate the Quest.

u can hire a mercenary in the shop next to ur breezewood home in whiterun also there is a companion in the pub in whiterun just beat her in a fist fight first

I decided to use Lydia. That way the quest is over with and she is out of Breezehome. Aela didn't appreciate her being there..
