I recently downloaded Borderlands from games on demand. While playing i frequently get a disc error message saying that the disc is unreadable and there obviously is no disc at all. I've had this happen to other arcade games and sometimes to games that i have installed to the hard drive. I run an S console with the 250 gb HDD.

Disc error when there is no disc in the first place

Sounds like it may be an error with the game itself. Delete the game and then re-download it. Hopefully this will solve your problem.

wow how many people are going to post complaints about a game thay downloaded on demand I read one about oblivion earlyer. Sounds to me like theres a problem with on demand. Maybe a bug thats been coaused by a recent update maybe.
