can't play COD4 after a hacked game (?)

Unfortunately there is no fix for this problem.  Treyarch is well aware of it as it has been going on for quite a while now.  If you truly want to play online multiplayer matches again the only recourse you will have is to create a new tag with gold membership.  Just remember that if you do this and get into one of those lobbies again, immediately back out and restart your console.

You can't transfer membership between accounts.

There is two ways as far as I know.. Ask a modder to get your level up on COD4 or as they say get a new tag and membership.

OP contact support for your region, explain to them what happened and that your account is now useless for that game. I have seen posts on the old forums where people had similar membership issues, but for different reasons. Putting the membership on the wrong account and such.

In some cases these people stated that support did allow the to move the remaining gold membership to a different account. (By way of a code with the remaining membership time).

But they did say there was a time limit as to when you could do this, so it would be better to phone them sooner rather than later.

Again I am only providing this info because others had posted about it, so they were either honest or they were lying and I cant verify which it was. But it is worth a few minutes on the phone to support to find out for sure,

Also I would suggest getting in touch with the games publishers (Activision), and tell them what happened to your stats. They can not do anything about those specifically but they may reimburse you for the gameyou purchased which is now no use to you.

@MasterKevinB: i just started cuz i switched from PS3 to the Xbox due to the shutdown and i don't know any modders or what they do ... lol ... omg .. and i just wanna play but i read on a blog that if i wanna play i need to join session with a friend then i can level up  ... none of my friends have this game cuz it came in a 2pack ...

i was in a infetion lobby and got a kill and it put me to 11th prestige after the games was said and done but it worked just like a regular lobby

i have messaged a moderator that instructed me to message him and ask for an account reset due to me not being able to play online because i am minus so many points. i have messaged him several times and still my account has not been fixed and im still not able to play cod4 online unless i am invited by a friend into a server but since i havent been able to play in so long i dont have any friends online that even play cod4 anymore muchless have one invite me into a server!!

If there was a fix for it it would've been released long ago along with that fabled leaderboard fixing tool for MW2.

Moderators do not & can not reset ranks.
The only people who maybe could are the game dev's/publishers and they do not do it.

As mentioned the only way to get ranking up again is to make a new account. Otherwise getting an invite is the only way to play online.
