No green light on power button (Original Xbox 360 Elite).

I left for a friends house for the weekend, while i was over there i connected my controller to their console. When I came back I tried reconnecting my controller to my console, but there is only one problem, NO GREEN LIGHTS ON THE POWER BUTTON! The picture and sound come through just fine, and my usb keyboard works (only on the dashboard and xbox guide of course), but the controller sync button on my console doesn't work. I can open/close the disc tray from the button on the console and from the dashboard, the power button turns the xbox on and off as usual, but there are NO lights on the power button, green or red. It is as if the xbox is turned off.

I have also tried unplugging EVERYTHING from the TV, the wall, the router, and the xbox then waiting for 30 minutes before plugging everything back in but to no avail.

There are no controllers connected to my console, so there is no way I can try starting my console up by turning on a controller. Any suggestions/solutions?

My console is an Original Xbox 360 Elite.

Just to clarify OP, do you mean the little power symbol light on the power button?.

Yup, every single light is off (The power symbol light AND the four quadrants around it).

OK I have had a serious look around for information about this and its not good I'm afraid. Everything I have found suggests the console will need a service/repair as something has gone wrong inside it.
It seems its a rare issue and the only suggestion I have found is to try a different wall outlet, but honestly I can not see that helping you :(.

So I can only recommend phoning support for your region to clarify this info and make sure that you do or do not need a repair, I sincerely hope the info I have found is incorrect and there is something you can do aside from sending it in.

Sorry I could not be of any real help to you but after over an hour of searching this is all I could find.

I honestly have no idea, the other people who had the problem in the pages I found all knocked over their console then it happened. But That is not the case here or you would have mentioned it.

Like I say this info might not be 100% so please don't take it as gospel, but its all I could get my hands on. I definitely think phoning support Monday morning is the way to go. They may well know some method to get this resolved for you, I hope so.

Or failing that hopefully someone on the forums has seen this before and knows the problem. I have been here nearly 3 years and never seen this issue before so its definitely not happening a lot.
The usual suggestions would be take out the cables, re attach, maybe clear the cache, or try using the console without the HDD attached but you have tried all those things. Its extremely annoying to be honest.

I am going to buy a charge cord for my controller, then use that (since the usb keyboard worked), maybe that'll work as a "fix".
