2 xbox live memberships on the same console

My brother got a new Xbox 360 for his birthday today as well as a 12 month live gold membership. All sorted & activated. My dad bought me a 1 month gold membership so I could play on live with him on his console. I set up my xbox live account on this website including my gamertag. But now I can't seem to be able to sign in to live on his console as it asks me to set up a new profile and when I put in the details of the one I created on this website it tells my this gamertag is already in use!

My question therefore is - Is it possible for 2 people to sign in at the same time with their live profiles on the one console?

You need to recover your profile on to his console first. Sign out from all accounts > click the avatar > scroll right > recover gamertag > enter WLID & password > download your GT > job done.

browsing through the forums and saw this thread. have a similar situation. i have a 12-month gold and i have my own console. my brother is going to visit me and stay for at least 6 weeks. am planning to get him a 1-month gold membership and recover his gamertag to my console so he can play online, but he also wants to play online with or against me using his gamertag while i use mine on the same console so he can keep his game profile. as for the games, he wants to play the street fighter games, mortal kombat, brutal legend and dante's inferno with or against me. is it possible to have 2 gold accounts playing the same game on one console?
