More trouble shooting has led me to the exact Epson Program:
Problem Recap: After installing The Epson NX530 Stylus Printer Driver Pack for Win 8 - 64-bit, my ALL APPS screen became empty and jumping back and forth to it, made things unstable, such as the Start screen became empty and if nothing else was open, I could
go nowhere and had to press the restart button on my computer..
Solution: The Epson Driver pack installs 7 programs, one of which is the Epson Download Navigator. After uninstalling this program, everything was back to normal. This occurred on two different computer (one AMD, the other Intel) with the same result. I
tried reinstalling it by itself, but it messes up WIN 8 when it's installed..
