Cannot connect either android device to my Windows 8 machine via USB. Worked fine when I had Windows 7.
Since my upgrade I can no longer access my Nexus 7 tablet nor my EVO 4G LTE phone on my computer using a USB cable. I have searched the Internet far and wide for some help. So far it looks like no one can connect via USB. Thanks a bunch Microsoft.

b. Type Troubleshooting in the search box and then press enter.
c. Click on Hardware and Sound.
d. Click on Next to run and follow the steps to perform this troubleshooter.
Method 2: Try connecting in a different Universal Serial Bus port and check if it helps.
Method 3:
Uninstall and reinstall the USB controllers. Follow these steps:
a. Press Windows + R key from the keyboard.
b. Type devmgmt.msc and then press enter.
c. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
d. Right-click every device under the Universal Serial Bus controllers node, and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.
e. Restart the computer, and then reinstall the USB controllers.
I would recommend you to download and install the latest driver from the manufacture website.
