Wireless Connectivity Issues with Windows 7

Hello, I hope this finds you all very well. I have a public free wirelss network I can access from my apartment. I connected with no problem for more than 1 year. Since last week I haven't been able to connect anymore. My wife's computer (Windows XP) connects with no problem. Mu phone (nokia) connects with no problem and even my ipod connects with no problem. I have Windows 7 on my computer and I can access other public wifi (starback or library for example). I tried everything I found on internet (reinstall the adapter (Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6205, I updated the adapter driver, I did all the ipconfig /renew and NETSH commands, I gave a fix IP address in the adapter IPv4 (the same my other computer finds when connected), removed Bonjur...). Can anybody please help me with this problem?
Thanks and best regards, Luca.

Good morning,

Thank you for your e-mail.

With regards to your suggestions:

1.      I don’t get an error message. Only “Windows was unable to connect to NETGEAR”. If I run the DIAGNOSE this is what I get:

Error during association test (this is the issue I get most of the time. Sometimes I fail the Ping Test).

2.      I only installed some programs but nothing weird. Anyway I restored my computer to a date where the connection was working fine but still no luck.

Method 1:

I tried to use the troubleshooter but it doesn’t help. It tells me to unplug and plug back the network cable or to turn off and on again the router. Sometimes it connects but then when I try to use the browser it gets disconnected:

Now for example it seems connected. Then I try to use internet and this is what happens (it tries to connect, is shows connectivity and then connectivity drops):

Method 2:

I tried to delete the wireless connections and create it again but still no luck.

Method 3:

I tried in SAFE MODE but still no luck.

This problem occurred a few weeks ago or maybe a month ago. I added the IP address I found in the other computer that can connect and it worked for a while but then it stopped working again.

Hi Luca,
Thank you for replying.
Sorry to know that previous methods suggested did not help.
I would suggest you to check if issue persists in clean boot.
Refer to the link:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: Refer "How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot"
under more information to reset the computer to start as normal after troubleshooting.
Hope this helps.
