Outlook 2007 in Windows 7 won't get connected to Exchange server?

Just trying to get Outlook 2007 set up on a new Windows 7 computer, but it can't get connected to the exchange server to see who I am, so I'm still outlooking on an xp machine.

Let's see...

Under Control Panel, Mail, Email Accounts button, the automatic account setup can't find me on the server. If I try "Manually configure server...", select Exchange, and set it up like the screen on the xp machine, it says,

"The action cannot be completed. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unabailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."

You can't be successful at this unless you're at least 1/2 a bubble off level.

As it turns out, my problem was caused by the wrong DNS server selected as my primary DNS.

Presumably you ARE connected to your Domain? If so have you told your Echange Admin/IT dept?
