Wacom Intos Pro Small Pen Tablet Not Working Windows 7 Acer Laptop

I recently sent in a broken tablet for repairs, and instead of giving me back my old one they gave me a new model. This was fine. Except for the fact that I was not aware I had to uninstall the old driver software, and now no matter what I do, the new driver software does not show up. I continually get the error message of "Tablet Driver Not Found," and the tablet acts like a mouse rather than a pen tablet. I have repeatedly uninstalled everything that has Wacom's name in it, and nothing has changed.

I was on call with Wacom customer service for two hours. They pointed me to the downloadable drivers, the legacy drivers, turning off and on the driver in services.exe. We were able to download it onto my parent's XP Home desktop, but none of the art programs I need are on that computer and frankly, I want the tablet to work on my laptop.

I also reverenced this article and did everything that was detailed there. The tablet still does not work in clean boot mode. I couldn't find the tablet in devmgmt.msc and in the effort of trying to be thorough, accidentally uninstalled my touchpad's driver thinking it might be my tablet.

I think it goes without saying that I am beyond frustrated at this point. I just want my tablet to work on my laptop. Please help!

Hello Rebekah,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

I suggest that you uninstall the current version of driver you have installed on your computer and follow the below link to download the latest drivers from the link given below and check.

http://us.wacom.com/en/support/drivers/

Also check if there are any optional hardware updates for the Walcom Tablet from the Windows update:

1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Update.‌
2. In the left pane, click Check for updates.

3. On the Select the updates you want to install page, look for updates for your hardware devices, select the check box for each driver that you want to install, and then click OK.

There might not be any available driver updates. If there are updates, try to install them.

You can refer the below article that will give you more information on ‘How to update drivers for the Hardware that is not working properly’:

Hope the information helps. Let us know if you need further assistance with Windows, we’ll be glad to assist you.

This has not helped.

  1. I downloaded the driver from Wacom, labeled "6.3.14-1"
  2. I checked for updates prior to installing the driver, it said there were none.
  3. I checked for updates after installing the driver, it said there were none.
  4. I checked for updates after plugging the actual tablet into the computer, it said there were none.
  5. I still get this error:
