Also, I had a similar issue with another game. in my case, If you know a safe site to download d3drm.dll from you can get it from there
(if you do download it from a safe site you trust, AV check it first), BUT I copied it from my XP system, ( C:\windows\system32 ) and copied it into my W7 netbook program files folder for the demo, where the game's exe file is located. And it worked
(different program, same symptom).
