2010 Format Painter Double Click doesn't work

There is no error message; it just doesn't work.  It was the same in Office 2007.

I just noticed that in Microsoft Outlook it doesn't work either.

 

It is Office Professional Plus 2010 Version 14.0.5128.5000 (32 bit/X64)

on

Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)

Somebody on this forum advised to set the mouse double click speed a bit slower and it actually worked. Working perfectly for me now.

Try this alternative approach: Select the text whose formatting you want to copy. Press Ctrl+Shift+C to copy the formatting. You can then use Ctrl+Shift+V to paste the formatting (repeatedly).
