Microsoft Teams Description

I no longer have the option to change or add a description to my Teams. A couple teams still have the description option show up, but a majority of them to not. When I go to edit team all I see is the team name and the avatar. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi LWeisgarber,

 

Thanks for posting in our community.

 

We have different team types in Office 365 for Education. If the team type is Class, Professional Learning Community (PLC), or Staff, we cannot change the description directly in Microsoft Teams. To do it, we need to go to Teams admin center > Teams > Manage teams. There we can edit the team description. If the team type is Other, we can edit the team description directly in Microsoft Teams.
