general mail failure. quit microsoftexcel

When I try to share by attachment to email it gives me a message about the default mail client being wrong. Then it says "general mail failure. Quit micorsoft excel, restart the mail system and try again"

Office 365. NO other problems in outlook. No problem sharing from one drive folder
