Instructions: Create a bootable ISO file using ESD Image for Windows 10 Build 10041

If you can't wait on Microsoft to push .ISO files to testers for build 10041, you can create yours now:

Download the desired edition and architecture from the following link:

Download ESD Decrypter 4.7 (esd-decrypter-wimlib-4.7z)

You can use NTLite as an alternative to convert the .ESD file into a .ISO:

https://www.ntlite.com/

Extract esd-decrypter-wimlib-4.7z to a folder.

Put the appropriate .ESD file you downloaded into that same folder.

Right click decrypt file in the same folder and click Run as administrator

Select option 1

Hit Enter

Wait

When complete, burn to a blank DVD or create a bootable copy on a USB thumbdrive.

Persons have recommended using Rufus for best results when creating a bootable copy on a USB thumb drive.

Well I must thank you for this. As you know I installed two last night, one was a smashing success and the other one I did just before bed and forgot to turn the antivirus off and as a result have a mess on my hands on the lenovo.

when I try to run the esd decrypt it says I don't ave admin features, do I really need to go through the long process of adding admin then activating my only account and then disabling admin

Your default user must be admin. Right click -> run as administrator

I do know we all want the ISO, remember we are testing how the upgrades manage on different machines. Future releases will be upgrades. Similar as mac

That's nice, but for some of us, we are on metered connections, trial and error is not an option. Download the .ISO and make as many failures as you want.

Tried downloading from your link several times (Pro x64). When I run the decrypt command (as Administrator) I get a "The data is Invalid." error. Anyone successful with these .esd files?
