Windows 10 Preview Mouse Problem

Ok, I have a HP Envy 15 Notebook PC with a Synaptic Touchpad. I recently installed the Windows 10 Technical Preview for it. It's been rather stable for me. However, I have encountered some problems. Namely, my Touchpad doesn't register any clicks whenever I have a button on my keyboard pressed. As an avid gamer myself, this is really awful. In fact, I recall encountering a similar problem myself when I just got this computer and it still had Windows 8.1 on it. Anyways, can someone help me on this case? I hope I described my problem as clearly as possible...

Well, installing drivers did not work as I already have the newest drivers or something... Still, the thing is, if I can't register any clicks while pressing a button at the same time, I can't do anything. Surely at least some of you encountered the same problem as me. Tell me how did you deal with the problem?

Ok, I have tried the troubleshooting method and restarted my computer but it didn't change anything. Is there something in the BIOS I need to take a look at or something?

Ok, I tried to modify some registers in order to allow inputs and guess what? It still refuses to accept inputs while I press a button. Honestly, I want a comprehensive step-by-step guide on how to enable inputs again.

It seems to be a common problem with the update. I've reverted back to window 7 and the touch pad is working again. apparently they are still fixing some of the bugs so I'm going to re-download windows 10 is a couple of weeks and see if it works! Hope this helps

Hi, this might help.... go to settings. under "mouse and touchpad" menu, go to "additional mouse options" a mouse properties window will pop up... try to uncheck the "disable internal pointing device when external USB pointing device is attached" you can navigate using your keyboard by pressing TAB and arrow key... if that doesn't work, try the device manager and update your touchpad driver. it should work... i did the same. good luck exploring Windows 10. :)
